In professional practice since 1984, with over four decades of rich experience, he is the Founder and Senior Partner of Iyer Thomas & Sunney. An alumnus of Deloitte Haskins & Sells, he has been instrumental in the firm's growth and continues to lead client relationships, strategic advisory and overall practice management. He has served as a Virtual Vice President (Finance) for a diversified business group for over 40 years, overseeing the financial management of multiple companies. His areas of expertise include Virtual CFO services, SEZ, STPI and EOU advisory, project financing, direct taxation, financial and business advisory, company incorporation, corporate restructuring, strike-off and winding-up engagements.
A Chartered Accountant since 2013, she completed her articleship with KPMG, gaining specialised experience in statutory audits of corporate entities. She joined Iyer Thomas & Sunney as a Partner in November 2013 and currently leads statutory audits, tax audits and assurance engagements for corporate and non-corporate entities. Over the years, she has developed extensive experience in direct and indirect taxation, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, internal controls, company incorporation, business structuring, corporate compliance, and management consultancy. She also plays a key role in client relationship management, practice development, team building, and the firm's transformation into an advisory-led professional services practice.
Qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2024, he began his career with PwC Acceleration Center in the Asset & Wealth Management sector, contributing to audit and assurance engagements for US-based clients. He later served as Assistant Manager – Finance at Aster DM Healthcare Ltd., gaining valuable experience in internal financial controls (IFC), internal audits and statutory audit support. As a Partner at Iyer Thomas & Sunney, he combines strong professional training with industry experience to deliver practical, value-driven solutions across audit, taxation, accounting, regulatory compliance and business advisory. He has a keen interest in supporting startups and growing businesses with financial structuring, compliance and strategic advisory for sustainable growth.
